Coming out in the top spot on the Recruitment Visibility Index is Fircroft. For over 50 years the company has been specialising in recruitment across engineering, oil and gas, and automotive sectors. In this time the company has clearly developed a strong marketing strategy, topping the board with a rather strong margin.
The company excelled in social media engagement – with the highest LinkedIn following of all recruiters we looked at; organic traffic, coming in the top 5 our monthly traffic to the site, and keyword ranking – again topping the table for the number of keywords which the website ranks for.
We also looked at which recruiters were excelling the most across key specialisms. Fircroft ranked top across its relevant specialisms including tech; engineering, and construction.
Meanwhile BlueArrow, which ranked second overall, topped the table for its specialist areas of Admin & HR, hospitality & tourism, and logistics.
Over in the marketing and creative niche it was London-based Major Players who came out on top, while Tate topped the tables among the finance sector.
While many of the recruiters we analysed scored well across social media engagement; site performance; blog content, and customer reviews, we noted a common area where improvements could be made was in offering email marketing services and providing audio and visual content such as YouTube videos and podcasts. The recruiters who jump on these areas successfully could utilise this gap in the market to their advantage.
