The client was in a particularly busy period so did not have a lot of time available to focus on actions or discussions around the marketing activity after we’d spoken about the original goals and activity we would undertake.
This meant we were left to crack on with the work without much input which brings some challenges.
However, given this freedom we were able to get on with our job and let the client focus on his. We were able to implement technical updates on the site on the client’s behalf and do the things that mattered without taking up their time.
As we continue through the campaign we would be looking to integrate more with the client to ensure we’re maximising some of the fantastic marketing activity they are running in-house and giving them the best possible return on investment.
Our initial analysis of the site showed that the client was strong in the payroll side of the business but was lacking visibility for the HR aspect.
We undertook a wide-ranging analysis of the market, looking at competitors and keyword research so we could identify where there were key gaps.
We then took this information and ensured the site reflected what the audience was looking for, which included adding new pages and updating existing page to better target those terms. This hugely broadened the client’s footprint almost immediately.
Alongside this we were fixing key technical issues with the website and working on the off-site side of the work, which involved gaining links on third party sites that would help increase Google’s trust in JGA.
Since our work began we’ve seen the JGA site catapult forwards for a wide variety of phrases they were already ranking for.
However, we’ve also seen them start ranking for a significant amount more phrases in the market following of our content strategy and new content which has been added to the site.
This has all happened in a short period, with the site moving on to page 1 for some phrases already and on the cusp for many phrases where previously it was nowhere to be seen:

As we continue our work we’ve no doubt we’ll continue to progress and move onto page 1 for more phrases as the work matures and filters into the search results.
Summary
It’s been fantastic to see such incredible progress with JGA in such a short period of time. Nick has given us freedom to get on with our job and he’s seeing the results of that working on a much quicker timeline than is the norm in the industry.
